In general, most residental fence structures do not require a building permit unless they are over six feet in height. If you are planning on building a fence that is taller than six feet in height then it is recommended that you consult a fencing company to ensure that your structure meets all requirements under Denver or Colorado Springs fence regulations.
Can I build along a property line without a permit?
Yes. It is important, however, to consult a private surveyor to make sure that you are building only along your property line. If you accidentally build a fence along your neighbors property, they have the right to remove the fence without permission and are not obligated to put it back up.
